Andre's Tasmania SuperSprint Preview

Overall I couldn’t have asked for a better start to our new partnership. Of course in motorsport you always are left wondering what could have been if things had gone a certain way, but considering we had the combination of new driver, car, team and engineer combo in Sydney I think we had a solid first hit out.

Tassie has been filled with mixed results for BJR and me over the years so we will be going in with an open mind and looking to try new things and be as agile as we can depending on what the weekend brings. There are so many variables at Symmons Plains to consider. It's a high speed circuit and we will be doing lots of tinkering with the car set up to get the R&J Batteries #8 up the front. There's no doubt it is going to be a challenging round but our plan going in is to make some gains, consolidate our championship position and just see what we can do!

The trip to Tassie is always cool as it in some ways it reminds me of NZ! The first time I went to Tassie when I was 17 I was straight from NZ and I actually didn’t know it was a separate to the rest of Australia! haha. I checked the weather and remember realising it was a whole separate island. And let's not even get started on the weather! As a Kiwi I think maybe that's why I enjoy it a lot, it reminds me a lot of home.

On behalf of the whole team, we appreciate all your support. Cheers, Andre
